In my base model install of 11, I see no existence of IE.

That new KB fixed my SSD read speeds in Crystal diskmark but didn't do much for writes, which were pretty good to begin with. Nice!

This article is pretty disingenuous when it says Microsoft "finally" fixed these issues. The update that fixed these issues was released before Nov 26 - more than two weeks ago which wasn't much more than a month since Windows 11 was released to the public. Frankly, that's pretty quick.

The way this article was written, it sounds like Microsoft just released this fix a few hours ago. More than a little bit misleading.

No, MS has blocked the use of IE in Windows 11. There is an IE mode in MS edge which is probably what the fix is referring to.
