News Microsoft focusing on handheld gaming support with new Xbox compact mode

Microsoft has added a new UI update to its Xbox app that shrinks the left sidebar to save screen space. It was made specifically for small screens on handheld gaming devices, so the left sidebar doesn't get in the way of the main page.

While I most certainly won't complain about UI/UX improvements there's a lot of stuff they could do to optimize performance. Turning Game Mode into an actual thing which optimized hardware performance while shutting down anything the OS would normally be running which isn't necessary would be a great start.
