Just Info.
OS - Windows 10 Pro , Office 2010 key is VLK
After changing in BIOS from IDE to AHCI or simple upgrading from HDD to SSD and correct clone from HDD to SSD.
MS Office 2010 lose activation and asks for NEW activation....
Simple computer repairs should not lead to loss of activation... in my opinion...
So just info... pc simple repair (not new pc and not significant changes) triger lose of Office 2010 activation.
To get to support or request to increase support activation times is really mission impossible.

Solution
When changing bios from ide to ahci it is recommended to reinstall the operating system. If you're cutting that corner it is possible to change it in the registry. Lookup ide to ahci regedit.
It it's for home use, there are some free programs which can pull the software keys. Belarc advisor used to be one. If it's for commercial use, I think there is a license fee. However, you might be able to put the old drive back in temporarily, grab the key for office, and reinstall your new drive and try to plug in that key.
