And I can't find the "given system manufacturer and location, give me
a valid number" option. Where did you see it again?

You're going to wait till it's required before finding out it fails on
your system? I'd much rather try it when it doesn't matter, and fix
the problem before I'm denied a security update.

On the screen that has the form for filling in the activation key, it
states there are two ways to validate, and has a link to this
alternative. Since I'm all validated now, I can't run it again to give
you better details. They certainly don't highight this alternative approach!
