So what should I get, on one hand the Sidewinder has a lot of great reviews and is only 60$ but on the other I always see a ton of people raving about how keyboards with mechanical switches instead of rubberdomes are much better. Are there any good red/brown switch keyboards that are around 70-100$?

Solution
The Sidewinder is an excellent keyboard, with great macro keys, media keys and a backlight, but mechanical keyboards are definitely better for gaming.

Cherry MX Reds under $100:

get a mechanical keyboard, there's a world of difference. das keyboard makes nice more professional looking boards. MSI has a new line-up that seems nice. though unfortunately a good mechanical keyboard will cost you closer to $150 if you don't like cherry blue (it's loud I know...)

If you're willing to spend that much money, I would go for the Corsair K70 or K95 as they are a little cheaper but are of great quality and have excellent reviews. But Das Keyboard are famous for their keyboards so that would be a brilliant choice too.

Thanks for the advice!
