Hello I'm running a brand new system (win 10 pro) with no problems until a few days ago, when i started to get some small stutters in youtube or amp music player while browsing in chrome. In task manager i get "microsoft software protection platform service" that gets about 35% of CPU usage.

Solution
do an anti virus scan/ run malwarebytes

right click start button
choose command prompt (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter

this scans system files and may fix this behaviour

Just found out how to resolve this very annoying issue:
Open regedit,
go to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sppsvc
Modify "Start" from "whatever number is here" to 4
This will disable the service after you restart.
No more CPU wastage

Solution
can you tell me what the value was before? My computer is messing up because i changed it.

If you set it to 4 you may find that your windows is no longer activated, word will not work and outlook will not open. Set it back to 2 and look for another resolve, Cheers Geewis357
