I am Technical Designer and have a workstation tower setup. (not mobile lol)
I am back and forth between the production the floor and my desk, checking designs, verifying measurements and changes, documenting items, reverse engineering items. I have been using a paper pad and pencil and my phone sending myself pictures to my teams account so that I can keep digital copies of information. Lots of printing to paper then recycling it once I am done.

I am wondering if this Microsoft tablet would be beneficial to me, since this is a Microsoft tablet, if it is connected to our work network, could our network admins (they are remote, hence why i am asking here) give me permissions so that I could access our shared network drives to open pdf's, word and excel documents? Does it have windows explorer so that I can navigate to network locations? Like on windows computer? Or is it app based system like Apple and Android? I want the functionality of a laptop in a tablet form.

Thanks!!
