Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - Will a micro-usb charge be able it?

Hey guys,

So last night my rabbit nibbled through my surface's charger cable and I'm hoping that if I buy a micro-usb cord, I'll be able to plug that into the charger and charge it from there. I've asked a couple people about this and they bring up amps/watts n what not . . I was thinking of grabbing a cheap cable, but will this work? Is the usb port on the charger able to charge at all or is it used for something else entirely? Is the port I've circled a display port or a micro-usb . .send help please.

The port on the charger is meant for a Micro-USB cable to be used to charge a phone (I do so with mine).
