Microsoft Windows-Internet Explorer

Every time I try to start Internet Explorer, I receive the following message from Microsoft Windows:
"Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"

Needless to say I never receive a solution.
Can anyone help me?

try going to the blue button start menu > acessories > system tools > internet explorer with no addons

see if it crashes. if not then a plugin or addon is causing it to crash
