Micrphone not working after upgrading to WINDOWS 10 in HP elitebook 8740w

Please can you resolve - Microphone not working after upgrading to WINDOWS 10. I have tried uninstalled/installed the mic drivers and disabled / enabled the mic in the BIOS / System Configuration / Built-in Device Configuration.

well hp don't give any 10 support

so you do that at your own risk and now have to depend on hardware/ device vendor support or Microsoft to support the device through 10 and its updating of any needed / required drivers . then if it don't work ???? I guess go back to a fully supported OS listed under your models support page
