Question Mid/budget build feedback

Hi All,

Looking to build a mid/budget, primarily VR machine, with some 2d gameplay as well. VR vast majority of time will be in sim racing/driving. Coming from Rift S, RTX 3070, ryzen 7 1700x 16gb in a prebuilt dell 5675. This did surprising well, but cpu seems fried, always near 100% gaming and gets random crashes. Single fan case but never got any high gpu or cpu temps. Cant update dell mobo bios so cpu upgrade is out.

Considering these parts during Black Friday, and welcome any feedback or suggestions. Aside from budget, VR clarity and performance is the top priority . Not opposed to overclocking and realize a better gpu is probably needed a year or so from now.

Will now use Meta Quest 3. Will pull 750watt psu and rtx 3070 from current rig. Thanks in advance for all your help! Cheers!

Another way to approach this, check for bios updates on your current board. You can likely upgrade the 1700x to a 5700x3d for about 200 then have cash left. That might allow you to sell your gpu and go to a better one.

I'm not sure about this motherboard as it doesn't have any heatsinks on the VRMs I would get something a bit more robust for a gaming system.
