mid/low-range gamingbuild: Lost about GPU

Hi Toms Hardware community,
I’m doing my first build and I’m asking for some feedback, it’s a mid/low-range gaming build.
I am located in Germany and I will be buying from amazon.de so prices are a little different to US.
Here’s my build:
Mobo: Asrock H97 Pro4 @ 82€
CPU: I5-4460 3.2GHz @ 166 €
CPU Cooler: HyperTX 3 Evo @ 23€
RAM: G.Skill 2x4GB 1600 MHz @ 80€
SSD: Crucial 256GB MX100 @107€
HDD: I still have from old PC
Tower: Cooler Master N300 @ 37€
Now I don’t know with my GPU, it’s between these two!
Option 1: Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB 1GHz @ 308€
Option 2: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB 947MHz (OC Windforce 3) @ 307€
So now my Questions are does the build look fine?
Do I need an aftermarket CPU cooler?
Which GPU would suit me more?(They the same price for me),(I want to play games like Far Cry 4 Battlefield 4 Assassins Creed Unity Watch Dogs and so on. I play on 1 1080x1920 screen). Depending on the GPU what Power supply do I need?
Am I missing something?

600w would be good and I would get the 290 it's a much better performing card.

cpu coolers are needed if you overclock
buy a nvidia gtx970.. its the best right now
if you wait a little longer, the amd r9 300 series will be out which are even more powerful

Hi blacksheep, thank you for your input.
I am not going to get a K CPU since my understanding is that it is not needed for gaming so no I am not overclocking my CPU. The GTX 970 is 120 Euro(so 430 euros) more for me and I am going to have to spend more on my power supply as well is it really going to be worth it?
I am looking to buy the build asap so no time to wait :/

Is there like a calculator for the power or is that just a estimate of yours?
I thought I could get away with 550 if I am going for the AMD.
Also what brand of power supply do you recommend?

Estimate but you would be surprised how little power a pc draws, if you don't have any plans of crossfire in the future then a 550w psu would be compleatly fine might even run on a 500w but just too be safe get 550w or higher.

what is your psu wattage? and what is your budget for gpu?

nice build, it will run perfectly... keep the case cool.. happy gaming
