Mid-price range ATI HD5xxx

When is ATI going to release the mid-price range(eg. HD4870's price) HD5xxx? I would get another HD4870 for CF instead if they are not releasing cheaper HD5xxx this year.

I believe you are talking about the 5770 and 5750 which cost 149 and 199 respectively. They will be release on or before 10/22.

There probably will be eventually. The 4830 was just a release to use up chips that failed as 4850's. I'd imagine there will be some of the same eventually.. but not for a few months and certainly not until the rest of the lineup is established.

I heard something about October 13 for the 57xx cards, not sure on that though. Also, new pictures:
