Hey I've got a question, I have a HP 8570W laptop right now with an i7 CPU and a Quadro K1000 GPU. I was eyeing up something with a 1050 ti but the issue is I would like to find a cheaper laptop that's in between these two or possibly something better then what I have. My price range is $400-500 right now, any suggestions?

I think you're expecting too much for the money, at $500 and below new you're looking at something along the lines of these but even MX150 "1030GT" is rare unless refurb or on sale.

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42-R5ED Gaming Laptop, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, AMD Radeon RX 560X
$499
Only because it's on sale.

Acer Aspire E 15, 15.6in Full HD, i5-8250U, GeForce MX150, 8GB RAM Memory, 256GB SSD, E5-576G-5762 $469
Refurb

Dell i5575-A217SLV-PUS Inspiron 15 5575 2500U, Vega 8 $439
Typical for the price so many different models and brands with the same hardware.

HP 17-ca1061nr 17.3" Laptop R5-3500U 12GB 256GB SSD W10H Radeon Vega 8 $439
Refurb

If you can wait, new models should be rolling out within the next few weeks.

Ok I can go used on ebay if necessary, I eventually would like to get a VR ready laptop but I want something a bit newer then what I have, I just don't want to spend too much.

eBay is hit and miss, lots of Big resellers have outlets there and many small refurb sellers. Typically you are missing something like storage but you can however still find decent deals still if you don't mind the compensations.

Same thing here 1080p screen, M.2 slot and SSD slot but with a faster MX150.

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42-R5ED Gaming Laptop, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, AMD Radeon RX 560X Graphics, 15.6" Full HD IPS Display, 8GB DDR4, 1TB HDD, Windows 10 Home & Protective Sleeve $499

Nearly on par with a 1050ti.

These are the best I can pull up even across eBay, you may be able to find better but I don't have the time at the moment to do a proper scan and find one.
