Mid Range Programming Build

Hello All,

I am new to hardware side of computers and need to build a desktop which I will use for programming and video rendering only. The computer must be able to run for long periods of time without running into any heat issues, be able to render video's in a reasonable time-frame, be around $1,200, and be in a small form factor if possible.


I was wondering if anyone could help me out and explain which parts I should get without getting an overkill desktop?

Ryzen 1700, NVMe SSD and as much RAM as you can afford. The choice of video card will depend on what GPU acceleration is available in the rendering software.
