Hello. I've got a RAT 5 from Cyborg and, I don't really know since when, but it started doing random double clicks instead of single clicks every now and then when I click the middle button on the mouse.

I use the middle mouse button to open new tabs for example. Sometimes it opens one tab, sometimes it opens two.

I have the drivers installed.

I'm using Windows 8 Pro.

Thanks

it sounds like you need to repair the spring under the switch. a how to above.
well... essentially you will be doing the same sort of thing... but yeah. you can use any guide you want to do it. its just that little spring tab which is pushed down from using it so often.

you could run that software to "fix" the issue but that might give you trouble if you ever need to double click that button for some reason.

Double clicking still works. It only blocks double clicking within 150ms. I don't think I can click that fast on the wheel button.

By the way, the RAT 5 looks rather odd, you can completely see the wheel, I think it doesn't work like it does in a normal mouse.

well if the software is the way you want to go then go ahead. blocking 150ms should work.

autohotkey is a pretty cool software and allows you to do quite a few things like some macros for your mouse and also for your keyboard if you need them. might as well use it for something else if you have it. also it has a key combination you can set to enable and disable it.

i've played around with it a bit in the past.
