Hello,
I am checking to see if there is any interest in Midway Pacman,
MsPacman & Galaga Mini/Cabartet repro metal parts. I am throwing
around the idea of having the control panels, metal plate above the
control panel (on pac)& marquee brackets made. All dimensions will be
exact with holes punched just like the originals. All parts will be
powder coated black. Nobody seems to make any of those parts for
either A. not popular or B. too costly. I on the other hand think that
they could possibly be a needed item. I am thinking a run of 20 to
start. So I am checking to see if there is anybody else out there.
Obviously the higher quanity made, the cheaper per piece. Control
panels I am hoping to get under $30 preferable $25 and the other parts
will be much cheaper than that.

I am also in the process of making the mold for the back bubble and
having them thermo-formed. They will be VERY close to original, 3/32
black abs plastic with the same grain. No holes punched since its a
cost factor and they are not all in the same place on the cabs.

Please email me directly or post here if interested. At this time I am
not anticipating a pre-pay situation. I will simply post here when
available and to each person the replied to my email.
Takeman AT Comcat DOT net If there is not enough interest, I will just
make what I need....

Who is doing your forming for these pieces? If it is cost effective, and the
results are good, you may want to look into I, Robot control panel
reproductions, there is a very real need for those and a lot of potential sales.

I have a connection with a reputable sheet metal company that does
other parts for me at a reasonable cost with a very nice end product.
I am not looking for any more projects.....yet :) I will keep it in
mind, but I would need a good sample to work from and have at least
10-15 presold to get it done. Perhaps after my cabaret/mini parts.
Thanks for the suggestion.

In this case "a lot of potential sales" is some number significantly less
than 500. ;-)

I'd be in for some (bubbles, CPs, etc.).

John,
All the bolt, button and joystick holes will be machine punched and the
panel then powder coated black. The response has been good so far, I
just need a few more to make it a go. I am thinking about 2 weeks or
so I could have a finished product ready to ship once I get the green
light. I am open to make any parts, but I need the demand of the part
to make it cost effective. Nobody makes the cabaret metal so I think
there is a demand for the parts. Mini's are great little space savers!

I need a CP for a Pacman cabaret. Will the CPs have holes drilled? Was is
the ETA on these if you decide to go ahead with 'em?

I also have a project Tron cabaret, but the CP is significantly different.
