Might need a new Mobo!

You might have seen my other thread in the CPU category... My current build is here:

Currently I'm running AMD, and hopefully it can stay that way. However, I'm looking to upgrade my CPU so I might have to make the switch to Intel. If so, what is a good motherboard I can invest in that is good with overclocking and won't limit overall gaming performance? I'd like it to have WoL functionality, and OC settings in the BIOS.

The board should be able to handle a processor better than the FX-6300, and needs to fit a GTX 1070.

I'm sorry if you're cringing from my lack of knowledge, but it really shows here. Motherboards are not my strong suit! Thanks for the help :)

Ya you would have to swap mobo's to get a better AMD CPU anyway so you will be much better off switching to Intel. Something like this would run circles around both your current build and the best AMD you could get at the moment. That said you didn't actually give a budget.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($233.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($137.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $371.97
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Thanks, I'll prob go for that CPU. I'll probably leave out the cooler, I already have the Hyper 212 EVO. I can't get that mobo though, it's not compatible with my RAM: "Pushkin ECO2 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory is 240-pin DIMM form factor, but the Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard only accepts 288-pin DIMM form factor RAM."

SR-71 Blackbird, what kind of PSU would I be looking at? What wattage & rating?

Ya my bad you'll need to get haswell [DDR3] not skylake [DDR4 or DDR3L] if you want to reuse your RAM.

I know it says DDR3 is supported but officially the mem controller on skylake is only capable of handling DDR3L/DDR4 voltages so IDK if they are doing any sort of strange de-coupling on board or not.
