Migrating OS from HDD to SSD with Samsung Data Migration [ When HDD has more GB used then Storage availible on SSD]

Hello,

I bought Samsung EVO 250GB to install my OS on and I found Samsung Data Migration software. I'd like to ask what happens if i want to clone my OS to the SSD, but I already have around 500GB of my HDD already used? Can I choose specifically what to carry over? How can I specify between what downloads i want to go to my HDD and what downloads I want to go to my SSD?

Been a bit since I've used Samsung data migration but I *think* you'll need to get the amount of actual data down to below the size of the SSD. You also want to have a comfortable margin (like at least a few GBs of empty space with no prospect of putting anything else on that drive).
