Migrating Windows 10 to SSD

Hello everyone. I already have 2 1TB drives in my computer at the moment. I recently purchased a 125GB SSD, and I'm wanting to put the OS on it. I read it's best to do a backup and then delete everything besides the OS. What I was wondering is if I could basically just uninstall most of my steam games (reinstall later) and move over all the images, documents etc. to the other HDD. Could I then clone the drive onto my SSD and it work?

Also, if I did that and made the SSD the boot drive, would everything pretty much be the same before I cloned the SSD (minus the uninstalled games of course and the images etc would be on the other drive. I just wanted to know that all my shortcuts and everything would still work, etc.)? Thanks.

Oh and does Kingston have cloning software?

Solution
If you clone a drive to another, the newly cloned drive will work exactly like the drive it was cloned from; no better, no worse!

I don't know whether Kingston has cloning software, but there are plenty of free cloning software available - EaseUS, Macrium Reflect, Apricorn (needs their Drivewire).

just diconnect the drives ,install windows onto your ssd and then once installed and updated ,shut down, plug the drives back in and power up .Please note as installation of ssd can be a pain in the **** remember to have ssd set as primary boot drive and set as ahci in bios or sometimes the ssd isnt recognised because of the (scratches head)system software type thingy ....
