I have a 4690k and I just want to do a small overclock since I do have a stock cooler. Would I do this in the bios? by how much?

Also would it be worth it removing the stock thermal paste and replacing it with the acrtic silver one that i have?

The stock cooler can barely keep up with cooling the i5-4690K. We hear endless issues here about people trying the burn-in tests and getting unreasonably high temps. If you love your processor, you wouldn't. The difference the thermal paste would make would be minimal - at the best. 2-3C

What are your temps in the most demanding apps or games you currently use? i have had no issues overclocking friends and families cpu for many generations of chips, including the current chips on stock cooling. You aren't going to achieve much more than 5 to 10 percent without heat issues, but you can test and see.
