I bought the SCR3310 Smart Card Reader, and had used it a couple of times successfully for my e-mail. However now my CAC is not being detected. I exhausted all the possible fixes for this from militarycac.com, and I settled on buying a different card reader. This one is advertised as plug n play so its supposed to work automatically without driver installs and what not.
Well, that one isnt working either. It'll respond to me plugging in my cac by lighting up, but it will then turn the light off after a few moments. Ive tried using the Smart Card Manager program, but it hasnt helped. ActivClient won't install itself saying it doesnt have the permissions required to start the service. I tried messing around with fixes online regarding turning the services on automatic, to no avail.
