Minecraft Framerate Issues.

Hi All.
I have a FX-8350, 16 gb of ram, and an MSI R9 280x. But im only getting 60 - 70fps. And my friend has the exact same except he has a GTX660. And he's getting 100 - 140fps on the exact same world.

Hey, I would recommend to install optifine, it is a mod that increases fps. Look up a video tutorial. Also, try to allocate more RAM to it. Look up a tutorial for that. I have an i5 3570 and a XFX radeon 7870. i get 150-200.

Does he have mods installed? A 280x would PWN a 660 normally. Check your CPU temps because Minecraft is CPU intensive.

Are you certain he has the SAME RESOLUTION and other settings for the game?

Also, to avoid screen tearing I recommend just using VSYNC ON and run at 60FPS.
