Minecraft is using my onboard graphics instead of my dedicated GPU.

I just recently bought a Lenovo Y40 and I can't seem to figure out how to get minecraft to switch from my on board graphics to my AMD Radeon R9 M275x.

you should have the options to switch graphics if you right click on desktop. You can also set it in cataclyst contol center, the intel controll center and by setting laptop power saving off
