Minecraft lag issues

So here is the problem: I run my own custom server on minecraft, no plugins no bukkit all vanilla. In most of the times we are 2 ppl in the server, sometimes though a 3rd person might join in and thats where the prolem starts. The third person is unable to play due to heavy lag. I think that the case is that one of them has 35mbps and the other one a normal 24 mbps internet connections. Pls need your help to solve the issue. Any reply heavily appreciated.

Their internet speed would have nothing to do with it, it's all on your internet. If its fps lag it's on them, but if its ping, the mbps wont effect that, its their proximity to you. example: I have 10mbps internet, and I play on a server with a friend who lives 3-4 miles away, and I get 50 ping. I play from my friend in Slovakia, and I get 300 ping. its all in proximity/connection. YOu may want to think about allocation more ram to your server as well.
