Minecraft not opening on school laptops

Me and my friends play minecraft in our free time at school. The IT people at our school upgraded some of our laptops to windows 10 and now I'm not able to even open the launcher. I have both the jar and exe version and neither work. I have administrator access but I'm not able to run either version. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

I guess I should tell you first to check with your school to make sure you know their policies. Don't do anything that will compromise your education.

That said, when you are installing a program at some point it will prompt you as to where you want to install. It will usually be something like "C:\ProgramFiles\ProgramName" All you simply do is make sure the media you want to install to is plugged in and then change the directory to that USB or External HDD or whatever it might be. So then the new file path would potentially be "F:\StorageDevice\NewFolder"

And...

Try installing the game on a USB drive and running it off that. That's what I used to do in highschool; I would install FireFox with pre-loaded proxy settings so I could browse wherever I wanted.

And again, I can't stress this enough, don't break your school's policies. I don't know what your school's rules are regarding these laptops but it's my hope that you learned something from this post. Put this knowledge in your toolbox and use it in future endeavors.
