The updates have been working fine usually but i think this might be the cause because when ever i try use a custom install it crashes my pc! I recently deleted bitdefender and used the uninstall tool and im sure its all gone before i installed nortan! So i see this being a unlikely cause! I think borderlands 2 isnt using it either beause it says it is even though it is set to but my mc uses my gpu because it is at 20 percent usage on bootup! This is strange i press f3 and it says that its using intergrated graphics so i couldnt say but its dropped frames since i get alot lower frames than i should anyways but this has hi me hard!

Specs:
fx-9830p
rx 550
8gb ddr4
Acer Nitro 5

If you have W10 installed you can try an In-Place Upgrade:

1) insert 8GB+ USB stick
2) download and run MS Media Creation Tool https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10
3) choose the USB stick you inserted etc..

4) wait for download to finish and stick to be created
5) run "setup.exe" from the stick and following instructions

That may or may not help. It "upgrades" W10 to itself so overwrites a bunch of files. If something got removed accidentally by Bitdefender that may fix it.

I'd use DDU first, do the upgrade then run the latest AMD driver install.
This is not my area, but I assume the video drivers have a program that can LIST the software/games that should get utilized with the RX-550?

Do you have the ability to have an AMD LOGO pop up to confirm the RX-550 GPU is being used when a game starts?

So I'm guessing there's some problem related to that utility but I don't have any info to help further.

Maybe THIS WILL HELP?

Im not stupid i know what im doing i set it to use ded gpu but it isnt showing as its using one in game but my gpu says its being used when i launched it i have the proper drivrs and its all fully updated and checked through by me

Firstly i didnt mean offense! I was pissed at the time so im sorry and i know the basics of how to make it run off my card.
The problem lies with it still not workint off my card even though it says it is!

Okay.
Please walk me through this better than.

I don't understand what you meant with "custom install" etc.

You may want to try this first:
1) use DDU to remove video drivers
https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

2) go to AMD support to find the proper drivers (I'd do that before DDU actually), download then install after DDU removes the drivers

3) if that doesn't work try disabling your Antivirus software temporarily to see if it is interfering

*If still stumped i'm not sure. It's obviously a software issue but if you can't isolate the problem I'd worst-case reinstall Windows.

Other:
Are there any applications you can confirm the AMD iGPU is actually properly working with?

I assume you have something like THIS:
https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/DH-017.aspx

I tried that, my drivers were picked by my amd software automatically! My problems started after uninstalling bitdefender but i installed their uninstall tool and it removed all the software that remained! So i dont understand why it still wont work!

Not sure... at this point it's hard to help over the Internet... possibly Bitdefender Uninstall deleted something it shouldn't have.

Do you have any Restore Points you can recover fairly close before the problems started?

Do you make backup Images of C-drive? (i.e. Acronis True Image... if not you should)

To be clear, you DID use DDU?
