Hello, I am currently looking into servers for a network that I am creating. I need these servers to power some small Minecraft servers. And I may use these servers for hosting.

this system might be better because it has 8 real cores, but you will need to grab a GPU if you want to get video out of it.

Would the AMD be better, the Xeon is a server grade CPU and has support for ECC memory and Minecraft needs fewer better cores. But as this is for hosting would it need more cores?

In my opinion the Xeon would be a lot better compared to the AMD.

Xeon would be better but costs $100 more. I would go with the Xeon and spend the extra money, Minecraft servers require a lot of CPU power.
