So today I changed my case for my PC, upgraded to an NZXT H440. First of all, when I got it to post, the bios said I had 16GB of RAM which is correct, but it said it was 1333Mhz when my RAM is actually 1866MHz. I said whatever and booted into Windows 10. I then tested my system on Minecraft to make sure I was achieving the same performance. I used to get about 140fps on extreme render distance (using optifine) but now I get anywhere between 40-80 fps on the same settings. When I pressed F3 to check my fps I noticed that it said I have 4000MB RAM total and 1000MB allocated. I actually have 16GB and I have it setup with 4GB allocated.
I don't know if this is a RAM problem or a Minecraft problem... Anybody know how to fix this? preferably without buying new RAM. Also why did the bios say my RAM was running at 1333MHz instead of 1866MHz.
