Alright so me and a friend would like to build a mineral oil pc but we have a few things we need to understand

  1. Do they sell specific mineral oil pc cases
  2. Do you need a Specific radiator for the cooling
Also before we build we would like tips on building one if any of you guy have built one. Thanks

Exactly. It is MUCH more of a "novelty" than anything else. And these mineral oil builds/questions have been popping up occasionally, for years, but what most people don't realize is that for the most part, once you commit to doing this, don't plan to ever use any of that hardware elsewhere afterwards if you should happen to change your mind. Be VERY certain that you plan to use that hardware in that way for the remainder of it's foreseeable lifespan because trying to clean a piece of hardware and use it in a regular build after being submerged in mineral oil is pretty much a non-starter. Aside from proof of concept, there are really VERY few compelling reasons to be doing this at all.

What's the point of this project? Crazy overclocking?

Answer:
The custom mineral oil pc project has always been intended as a cool conversation piece, and a fun do-it-yourself project. While there are certainly some thermal advantages, submersion cooling is usually not the best solution for overclocking. Due to the risk of tank failure if the oil reaches temperatures above 50C, we do not recommend submerging overclocked or extremely hot hardware in this system.

me and a friend just want to do it for fun more than the practicality
