Mini gtx 970

I been looking at a new graphic card to replace my aging gtx 560ti. I have issue with my previous prebuilt computer with heat with my previous 2 cards(reach 90-100c) and have built a computer last year with reasonable powerful component and the temp were much better. The power supply is a consair tx 750w so I good with any power draw however though I might use this later when this is upgraded in a computer similar to my previous computer(small size would help this). Is gigabyte mini gtx 970 a comparable in performance option to the reference in. I don't plan on overclocking so if the coolor isn't that great it not that big of a deal.

It should be pretty much the same they will simply lower the core clock and the boost clock and slap a better cooler and fan on it and call it a day.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125706 is the card I think about getting. Is look like it slighting overclock though. I was wonder if anyone as any info how his card compare to over gtx 970 though.
