Disclaimer: Some physical dimension constraints are currently not checked, such as CPU coolers and RAM clearance.

Some Points:
  • I have never fully built a PC before.
  • This will be a high-performance, compact, gaming PC.
  • I am not sure this build works, I am going solely off PCPartPicker.
I am making this thread because I need help and so the gist of the build could be understood. I am open to suggestions and willing to swap out any components as long as performance is relatively the same or better. I already have a PC that I bought pre-built and changed over the years, but I have never fully built a PC before. This will be an interesting challenge. Please offer any suggestions, advice, or reference to build that matches what I'm looking for.

Thank you for your time.

A few things. The 13900K is a hot power hungry hog and probably the last cpu on this planet that you want to put into an ITX case not to mention that board has a 10 phase power design which will lead to thermal throttling with that cpu. I would look at a i7 13700 or i7 13700F to pair up with that board.

Hello. Thank you for your advice. I was unaware of the motherboard conflict so the advice is appreciated. I also understand the cooling problem with ITX cases, but I figure they wouldn’t make the parts for them if there wasn’t a way to have it be functional and cool properly. Thank you for your advice, I will be sure to look into the CPU modifications.

Hello. Thank you for this build.

You probably don't want the NVMe drive with the included heatsink, you will be stuffing it under the motherboard's heatsink. Just more hassle to take it off.

Mini-ITX for a first build is asking a lot. Cable routing can be frustrating and you aren't necessarily going to have everything you need to put it together when all the parts arrive. Simple example might be absolutely needing a right angle adapter somewhere. Or having an EPS cable too short.

Not a huge size difference between a large Mini-ITX and a small MicroATX when you are using an AIO to be honest.

Love those ITX builds, but they do come with challenges.
Unless you need the case to be really small, look, perhaps at a MATX or small ATX case.

I am not against a MicroATX or a small ATX build, especially if it would be easier. Thank you for your advice.

Here's one of many options. This build can also be done with a 240 ARGB AIO and RGB RAM.

While I do like this build (I personally prefer Intel), I would like a case that is a little less “fragile”. I’m not saying I will be throwing it around but, traveling from school to home, I would like it to not have much glass or maybe interchangeable sides as previously mentioned builds.
