I was interested in building a small form factor PC for my new rig and was having issues regarding the size of the case i'm interested in. I was looking into the Corsair Carbide 380T.
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/graphite-series-380t-portable-mini-itx-case
It says that the maximum length for the GPU is 290mm in length, but I have seen videos stating that the maximum length available is 12 inches (304.8mm).

I'd like to keep my current GPU and just place it in this new system but i'm worried that it will not fit. I currently have the Asus Strix gtx 1070, which I recently had purchased and measures in at 11.73 inches (297.942mm).

So my question is this; am I going to be able to skimp by on space and just barely be able to fit, or am I out of luck on this one and have to get a different GPU to fit in this case? Any help is greatly appreciated, and thank you for your time :)

Best Wishes,
Sebastian

I have owned one of these cases. I can confirm the 12 inch / 304.8mm length.
My 330mm card does not fit in at all.

If you're looking for a mini-itx case that can fit a long card, look at the cooler-master elite 130. I ended up getting one of those for my mini-pc.

It looks like a nice case except for no dust filters. :(
That is the only thing that turned me off of that case. For me that's a must have unfortunately. But on the carbide, there is an actual 12 inches of clearance? I already did looking around for cases and this is the one I fell in love with, so I'd like to not have to switch. And honestly if I had to, I'd get a new/smaller GPU rather than having to compromise on a case.

I haven't really had a dust problem with my CM130, but if you need dust filters I can't blame you.
The fan in the front of the Corsair case takes more room out of it, the maximum clearance is without a front fan.
If you're into that type of thing - you can cut out the front metal panel of the Corsair to get an extra bit of room to put a GPU through, but then you're still losing your fan.

If you're looking for a mini-itx case with dust filters I can recommend the phanteks enthoo evolv itx, I bought one yesterday and it's got a nice big 20cm fan in the front with dust filters, and can take cards up to 300mm. Looks like a normal tower, just mini - and has tons of airflow options.

I was actually doing some browsing and came across a build on PCPartPicker where someone had used the corsair 380t and was able to fit a strix r9 390 in there. No case modding needed. :)
That's fantastic news since the 390 strix is 11.8 inches and my strix 1070 is 11.73 inches, and he had a small amount of room to spare.
