Question Mini ITX case/power supply combo

So like two months back I bought the LC-Power LC-1320II from amazon for my small form factor server build (ASRock J4105-ITX mainboard, normal SSD inside) and the overall thing has been running fine until yesterday the power supply fan started rattling. I do not want to risk a powersurge frying the MB so I shut it off and will send the case back.

This is a massive pain in the ass and I would like to avoid it in the future. I heard LC-power makes bad PSUs so that is a lesson learned, but now the quest for a new case begins. Is an external PSU a good idea? I have looked some up but most seemed to have not enough cables to drive MB and SSD and overall there seems to be not much in terms of SFF cases anyway, with included power supply or not (and then there seem to be absolutely no standalone PSUs available anyway).

Any tips, recommendations etc? This case has 2 3.0 USB connectors so I would like to keep that too because some external HDDs are hanging on it.
