I'm looking at building a Mini ITX PC that will pack a punch in any game I play. Right now below, is what I have come up with but it's blowing over my budget by £200+.... Is there anything ye would recommend to save some money on but will still run anything I play? Thanks!

Solution
People, the OP is trying to CUT the budget by £200, not add to it.

@ alannm37 - You're not going to be able to get an Intel Core I5 based system with your budget. You can try a dual-core processor that may or may not work (but leaves an easy upgrade path when you can afford a Core I5). You could put off this build until you CAN afford this one (do you really need a new monitor?) or consider the build below:

It doesn't get you all the way there, but it's closer to your budget.

The 4440 is only saving £11 on that, is it really worth it? Or should I just completely switch and get an AMD FX-8350 and overclock that? What was it I heard about GPU's using only 3.5GB/4GB VRAM? Does that apply to this 970? Thanks.

And as for the monitor, it's staying as is 😀

I really wanted to stick with an i5 in the build as I am already running an AMD FX series build. Plus wouldn't that Athlon be a bottleneck for the 960?

If you were to remove the monitor from the build, what would you build then? Thanks very much for your answer.

That depends on what are you gonna do with your £11, lol. its really up to you if you wanna save that £11. Youre not gonna upgrade anything so yeah keep your 4590 as it is. Having Fx8350 isnt a bad option but I suggest to stick with your intel build as it has stronger cores, OCing the FX 8350 is easy but you`ll need to consider getting additional stuff such as an aftermarket COOLER , a good MOTHERBOARD for oc and atleast 600w psu for safety precautions, thats too much additional $$. Jus stick with your intel, you wont need to really need to oc.

An SSD is not necessary so if you are willing to cut down on "load time" go ahead and cut down the SSD.

If you hooked it up to a tv or monitor you or a friend may have laying around then this would be a good build however if you save up an extra £50 or £80 you could get a 120/240gb ssd
