Mini ITX thermaltake core V1

Hey there,

I'm currently looking at downsizing my old rig into a mini ITX I can put in the living room. The thermaltake core v1 is quite appealing to me, however, I plan on putting a factory R9 290x (yep, factory cooler and everything). Now, from what I can tell this card is supposed to be 278mm long, which exceeds the 260mm limit stated on the website. I have a spare SFX powersupply I will be using.

So my question is... will the R9 290x fit? I've heard that GTX 1070s fit, and they're about 267mm in length... I'm curious if there's an extra 11mm to spare, or if I should be looking for another case. If I do need to look for another case, does anyone have suggestions?

The listing states that this case supports cards up to 260mm in length. Unfortunately, my old factory R9 290X is 278mm in length. Does anyone know if this card would fit by personal experience? I've heard that a gtx 1070 (267mm) would fit, and I'm just curious if I can squeeze out 10 more mm.

If not, are there any other good cases out there that I should look at?
