Hi everyone. Hopefully I have posted this in the correct place...

I currently have an Android TV box under the TV (obvs) and I use this mostly to host a Plex server that streams A/V content from my NAS device to connected devices. I also use the native apps to stream iPlayer, Youtube, Netflix and Kodi content etc etc. It's been ok but I notice it struggles somewhat with higher quality content, or when streaming over the internet etc whereas my proper high end laptop doesn't struggle at all.

I was really just garnering opinion as to whether it would be worth replacing this £80 box with a mini /micro PC on the basis that a decent CPU and expandable memory would give better horsepower overall. And if so, any recommendations on CPU type, or any prebuilt systems on Amazon etc??? For reference I think the CPU in the Android box is an RK3328 with 4Gb ram.

Just a note, I don't want to use my laptop as it is used for work only. I'd rather have a dedicated box/pc etc.

Many thanks.
