Minimum CPU demands for CREO 3

I'm trying to build a cheap workstation (<500USD) that will run CREO 3.

I'm stuck on the CPU/MOBO planning phase. I can't seem to find any information on what the baseline CPU would be for running CREO 3. I was told that last gen i5s and Xeons would do fine but as someone who isn't intimately familiar with cpu naming schemes and classifications, I'm not sure what will work.

Can anyone help me out with a baseline range of CPUs that will do the job?

Thanks,

This shouldn't have any issues running 3D applications, except being generally slow compared to like what people actually use:

You're right there isn't any good hardware requirements, short of contacting PTC and asking them what they recommend for your price range, or what computer parts are actually more important, gpu or cpu, it's hard to build a more focused system.

The older gen CPUs won't really be any cheaper unless you buy a used system.
