Hello,

I am Looking to build a system to run BF4 and other games in Extreme. I also need the system to be quiet and double as a HTPC. I would like to spend between $1000 and $1500.

Here is a list of what I have found so far.

LG Electronics DVD Optical Drive UH12NS30

I could be talked into swapping out the Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 for a pair of GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 650 Ti.

I just want my kid to be able to use extreme settings for games and I want to use XBMC. The system needs to be quite and not generate too much heat. All the components need to fit in a HTPC case.

Thanks in advance

Solution
You do NOT need 32gb of ram. 16 or even 8 is adequate.
Your video card will not run bf4 at max. a 7870 will run it on highish.

On the money you get from not using 32gbs of ram, you can get a 7870, or a 7970/7950.

You don't need a blu ray player, unless you reallllly want it.

Check the post above. I am running (2 each) 7870 in crossfire. Will it run BF4 at MAX?

I want to put in the man cave along with the receiver and other components. If I were to use only one video card which would you suggest? I want to run BF4 in max settings and run .MKV from my NAS.
Also, can I output the video card to a receiver without interfering with the quality ?

Thanks in advance...

I would suggest a R9 280x and for a case, me personally i would go with the HAF XM
