Hello everybody.

I am going to buy a 43 inch 4k pc monitor.
I am only going to use my pc ONLY for browsing the web and watching 4k videos on youtube.
I am NOT a gamer, I don't even play minesweeper.
My question is what are the minimum system requirements that will allow me to watch 4k videos on youtube smoothly.

I am going to buy this monitor - https://www.amazon.com/Philips-BDM4350UC-43-Inch-IPS-LED-Monitor/dp/B01E18XRY2/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1533383498&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=4k+pc+monitor+42+inch

Thanks in advance.

CPU and RAM aren't that big a deal with 4k video playback. I would say 8GB of RAM would be perfectly fine along with any processor that won't bottelneck too bad with the GTX 1050. You could probably get something like a Pentium G4650, but I would probably go with the cheapest i3 compatible with whatever motherboard you are using.

Hello "Mattp2017",
Thanks for the quick reply.

So a GTX 1050 2GB ?
What about the CPU and RAM?.

Hardware acceleration,it will use the GPU only, any cpu/ram that can handle windows will be enough.
Just search for "youtube 4k acceleration" if you would like to know more.
