MINING: How to check graphics card usage history

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of buying a 'new, never used' second hand card off ebay. He said he bought it for mining, but never got around to setting it up and wants to sell them now.

Is there any possible way of knowing if the card has been used? Like some software that would say 'This card has been used for 100 hours.'. It would take the element of blind trust out of the equation.

Any other tips, comments will be appreciated too

Realistically how much damage could have been done if the card was run 100% since 17th June? He has a receipt saying it was bought at that day. I've 0 idea how intensive Etherum mining is on the card

In the worst case scenario, it can be a lot of damage if it was overclocked and not cooled properly.

If you have this much doubt, I would walk away.

He has a receipt showing that a similar model card was bought on June 17.
Maybe not the GPU you get.

Overheating, worn out fan...who knows?
