[SOLVED] Mining software?

Solution
4GB can't mine etherium anymore, so it's kapow or beam algorithms, about 50 cents a day for the GPU, and the CPU 40 cents a day. That's before power costs, the extra heat, and the fact you may kill your hardware. Not worth it at all.
There are 2 guys I know that mine at the moment. They use different software (don't know what but I can ask) and they both mine ethereum as they say it's the most profitable for the time being.
GPU Bitcoin mining is long gone.
You'll spend more in electricity than you 'earn'.

You need to do a LOT of research on this whole mining thing.
are there any specific coins that are worth mining right now, and how should i mine them?

I am relatively new to mining and I am wondering what software i should use to do so. I plan on mining with my cpu (5600x) and my gpu (rx550) on win 10.
Honestly just go with your CPU. It's well above any previous Ryzen generation and could do you some good. Mining takes time, it's no "oh tomorrow I'll get $50 easy". I'm just now starting and am using unMineable. It's a simple install, same with Nicehash, but either one works.

Look up a video on how to do either. I like unMineable though since it doesn't make your system heat up (from what I know). I don't even get above 55C on my GPU.

Another cool "mining" program is Salad. I've been using it for a month and it's meant for games or gift cards. What separates this program from actual cryptocurrency is that it's meant to be actual money, but in a credit sort of form. I have received more money on Salad than anything else. They promise $50/mo average and they are not wrong.

I wouldn't risk burning out a brand new cpu that already runs hot and is facing stock issues for 50 cents a day. Less after power since CPU mining isn't very efficient. Price crashes haven't helped any, even a 3090 is only going to pull in $7 a day right now or so.

Quite true, but I'm giving out my experience. I don't even get high temps whatsoever and I live in a HUMID place (very very very humid).

People should honestly switch to Salad. It's been out for only a year or 2, but it's worth it.
