Mining zec with 1080 ti

Hello , I recently bought MSI 1080 ti gaming x for gaming but also I start using it for mining ZEC.
My question is I have a watercooling for CPU ( i7 4790) (case NZXT) PSU ( EVGA 750W Gold 2)
If I want to make SLI for mining do I need a new PSU or I can stay with this one.

A 750W G2 should be sufficient for mining using 2x 1080TI's.

250W TDP cards (x2), but mining doesn't (shouldn't?) run your GPUs at 100% load by any stretch.

Not ideal if you also want to utilize both GPUs for gaming etc, but strictly mining, it should be fine.

Thank you for the reply. I will using them for gaming also , but its mostly for mining. I see now running my GPU at 75-76 C
so I will need to think about cooling system for the GPUs so they have better temperatures. I just don't want to kill my rig with the second graphics card.

You're not going to "kill" anything running SLI on that G2 - it's a quality unit, with more than capable protection.
Worst that'll happen is you may experience some instability/shutdowns.

For gaming, you're going to be pretty close.... I would try it out and monitor power draw if I were you.

I am using two 35 inch predators so yea .... even If I remove one I think I will need to buy 850 or 1000w

It'll may well come to that (850W.... 1000W is highly unlikely to be required) - but I'd definitely test first, while monitoring power draw.

2x 1080TIs = 500W.
4790 = 84W
balance of your components = probably 50W.

That puts your at around 650W max draw.... although 1080TIs can (and do) exceed 250W each, under max load. Under a realistic load, you might be fine. Even testing it, you're not going to do any damage to components..... so it certainly won't hurt to try.

You'll make more money if you reduce the powerlimit on the 1080ti, in upwards of 20%. Won't affect your hashrate much, the cards will run cooler, and each card will pull less than 180w at 100% load.

Thank you for the advice I can do this from msi app, I mean to reduce the power limit? And somewhere I saw that if you OC it I just click OC mode in msi app its GAMING X version and its going to 2090 -2123 MHz and the others things to 11.200 and 5500, so you can increase your hashrate.. ?

Yes you can use MSI afterburner to reduce power limit.
Do not use any auto-overclocking software. Do it yourself in increments.
