News Minisforum's Surface-like 3-in-1 laptop becomes more affordable — V3 SE features an older Ryzen CPU, less RAM, and lower-specced screen than the V3

The V3 SE's lower specs translate into a significantly lower price of $628, 60% less than the vanilla model's $999 MSRP.
37% less, not 60%. The $999 price is 60% more.

There are some big hits to the specs for this discount.
APU: 8840U -> 7735U
RAM: 32 GB -> 16 GB
SSD: 1 TB -> 0 TB (if that's correct, you need to buy your own which adds to that $628)
Screen: 2560x1600, 165Hz, 500 nits -> 1920x1200, 60Hz, 320 nits

Maybe if it was $400-500, but buying up might be better here. I believe the V3 has been discounted to $900 before.
