Hello, I recently just ordered parts so i can build my new pc, after it was done, i put my 2TB HD in and set up all the connections etc.. when i boot to any type of disk, i just get stuck on the windows 7 logo, and i get ntdlr is missing for every single hard drive i connect, i'm completely lost as to why any of my boot options will not pass the "Starting Windows" screen, it stays there for about 10 minutes then just hazes out, my hard drive and cd rom still show that they're reading something, can someone please assist me with this, i really didn't want any issues with this new pc, and this already starting to irritate me a little bit.

Thanks in Advance

Andrew

You will probably need to reload Windows on the hard drive - as Windows 7 is trying to load drivers that won't work for your new configuration....

It is possible to troubleshoot, but you may spend more time troubleshooting than it would take to reload Windows...

Any change of the mobo will probably require a new install.....sometimes you can get by with other devices replaced.

windows is trying to load the drivers from the old mb. if you can get in f8 safe mode. remove all of the drivers and see if you can get it to boot. if not unplug the 2g drive for now and use windows instal ldisk or oem stick and see if you can install windows fresh on another drive. if you can install windows then reboot and go into windows. then power down and coneect the 2g drive back in.

I know that, but every hard drive i've connected gets stuck at the same "Starting Windows" part.. this is coming from a usb boot and a CD boot, they both do the exact same thing.

I've searched through this MSI BIOS and i cannot change the cd/dvd settings, i can only change the HDD settings, and default is AHCI.

Anyways, my 2TB HDD was bad, i used my brother's 500GB and Windows Installed with no problems at all, that must be why my mother brings these HDD's home from work....

Thanks for all your help and support.
