So I just got a new gpu for christmas and it arrived this wednesday. I plugged in the gpu and started running some games. I got it installed late at night mind you, so i only managed to try out deaf by daylight on ultra where if i remember correctly, didnt get any stuttering. The day after that i actually started playing cs go on max settings and this is where i first started experiencing the stuttering. Its weird cuz ive only actually noticed it in cs go and maybe a lil bit in dbd but those were just some minor, ocassional ones. But the weirdest thing is that i dont get any actual framedrops, it just gets choppy most of the time. Altho in dbd my frames dropped down to 48 for a second. Ive used afterburner and rivatuner to document the gpu and cpu usage where i usually only have as little as 50% gpu usage in cs go which just wonders me. Ive done both a clean install and used ddu but, like idk if its the dvi cable im using or the actual card or mobo. Im pretty confused. I cant remember if ive had any sound issues but i dont think so. Im by no means an expert at this but i try my best to use my knowledge but in this situation im out of ideas. Could my pci e slot be damaged? Is system too warm? Is my psu too bad or have i connected the pci e psu cables the wring way? Im using one cable running from the psu that diverges into 2 6+2 pci e pins. Idk, i feel like im on the verge of just buying a new mobo, case, cooler and psu to fix this shit. But then again it could be other shit like my 10 year old 59 hz samsung monitor thats screwing shit up with its dvi port but then again that gpu usage and whatnot is worrying me still. I mightve been a bit forceful and damaged the pci e slot idk. I cant switch pci e lanes as the i lost the thing that clicks the card in and im super frustrated about that. Ill get back to those who reply tomorrow as im avout to sleep.
