Friend of ours built our computer with 2 mirror raids set up using motherboard RAID1. The one assigned to D keeps losing its drive letter every time the computer restarts, however I can find it and reassign it to D easily enough through disk management. In disk management it reads as Mirror_raid_01. The one which was assigned to F however has lost its letter and when I look at it in disk management I can see it's there, but it no longer says Mirror_Raid_02 like it did before it's just a blank name there now. If i knew how to attach a photo of what I see in disk management I would. Both raids on startup show they appear to be healthy and everything so I can't figure out what to do. I'm just not tech savvy enough for these things and I apologize ahead of time if I sound like an idiot.

Solution
The solutions out there don't seem to be very easy ones. I have seen that you will need to backup all your data and make a large change to your file system on the array.

Easiest would be to backup everything on another drive, convert to GPT disk format and test reboot. Other involves writing zeroes to both drives, breaking the raid and re-creating it.

Can you tell me how many disks you have in the system in total?

When you say both appear healthy you mean right before windows boots you see something like this:
sf09_d0131_7.ashx

There's 5 in total if you count the C drive. 2 1tb and 2 500gb hard drives mirrored together. The 1tb ones are one raid and the 500gb are the other. They both say normal under their status like in that ss. The 1tb ones are D which will keep its drive letter as long as I don't restart the computer and the two 500gb ones are F which I can't do anything with atm. Under disk management the two 1tb raid will say Mirror_Raid_01. However the two 500gb ones used to say Mirror_Raid_02, but now I can see the hard drive is there, but Mirror_Raid_02 has no name. Hope that all makes sense.
