Hi Everyone,

I have an ASUS Prime Z370-A.

The I/O shield has quite a thick “padding” on it, and i had to push the motherboard quite hard against the I/O shield just so I could line up the screws to screw in the motherboard to the case.

However, it doesn’t matter how I adjust it the ports don’t quite line up.

I could still plugs things in but they are kinda slanted.

Do you guys think I should just remove the I/O shield entirely because I don’t know if the constant pressure pushing against the I/O shield as well as plugging usb in slanted would be bad for the mobo?

May I ask if you removed the padding?

And I think I am gonna use a pair of scissors to make the holes bigger.

Yeah I inserted the I/O shield from the inside first. However, I assumed my motherboard is straight otherwise I won't be able to screw the mobo onto the case?

pull the mb off the standoffs and move it out of the way. what your looking for is the io to be snapped in on all 4 sides. when it snapps in it make a snapping sound. sometimes you need a hammer and block of wood to tap it in if you cant move it with your fingers. in your photo the bottom of the io is not in.
