Hello, I recently purchased a second monitor for my computer, An ASUS VS207D-P and the display misaligned to the left. I've tried the auto-adjust, and positioning the screen manually, however even with it forced right to 100 it's still off by half an inch. I'm running in its native 1600x900 resolution, and have updated graphics drivers. [strike]The only possible reason I can think of is i'm using a VGA to DVI cable to connect the monitor to my graphics card, could this be the reason?[/strike]

My hardware:
GPU: Nvidia GTX-960 2Gb (MSI)
CPU: i5 4960k
Monitor in Question: ASUS VS207D-P

Edit: I should add that the refresh rate is set to 60, I've reseated the cables with no success, and yes they are plugged into the graphics card.

Fixed:
So I swapped the cables around and somehow it fixed itself! If anyone is here looking for the solution, just keep trying to reset your computer and monitors. And reseat (unplug and plug back in) all your monitor cables! Good Luck!!

Solution
Well to test your theory, swap monitors. Use the new one on the first display with straight DVI or HDMI or whatever and see what it's like.

I wish I would have thought of this, thank you for your reply! Sadly it is not the answer. The cable is fine on my primary monitor and has no issues with alignment. I don't have any other computer I can test the monitor with right now, to see if it us just my computer that it doesn't like.

For some reason, reseating the cables again, or changing resolutions, or maybe just powering everything off and on at the same time fixed it? Either way thank you 😀

I feel very silly. But at the time I was seriously considering returning it to amazon! Thank you for taking the time to even answer the common sense posts. :)
