When I was upgrading my 1700, I put my new cpu the wrong way and killed the mobo. Will that damage my cpu or can I get a new board and get it working again?
But if I put the cpu in to the new mobo will it damage that too?Completely unknown until you get a known working motherboard.
It is entirely possible that this killed the CPU as well.
And I checked every pin, they are fine and cpu seems to be not damaged. I hope I’ll get lucky this time. I don’t want to fry my cpu on first cpu upgradeCompletely unknown until you get a known working motherboard.

Except for bent pins, you can't really tell CPU damage from the outside. And I checked every pin, they are fine and cpu seems to be not damaged. I hope I’ll get lucky this time. I don’t want to fry my cpu on first cpu upgrade
Oh well, rip me for being a stupid amateur then. I feel bad for the cpuExcept for bent pins, you can't really tell CPU damage from the outside.
